Success Story

The medical team at Tadawi General Hospital successfully managed an emergency case involving a 51-year-old patient who presented with intestinal obstruction lasting for three days.

After conducting the necessary medical examinations, a foreign glass object was identified in the upper rectum extending into the colon. Immediate medical intervention was carried out under general anesthesia, supervised by Dr. Mohammed Yahya. The case was managed surgically through an abdominal incision and rectal opening, followed by the removal of the foreign object and the creation of a temporary colostomy to ensure the patient’s safety and stability.

The procedure was performed by a comprehensive medical team including Dr. Ashraf Mansour, the anesthesia department led by Dr. Wafaa Mamdouh, along with the nursing staff.

The patient is currently in good condition and continues to receive the necessary medical care under the supervision of the specialized team.
